Death Gin Negroni’s

An Italian classic, the Negroni is a brilliant sipper for a classy and refined palate. We’re going to introduce you to 3!
Apparently, the humble Negroni was invented at Caffe Casoni in Florence, Italy in 1919. Legend tells that Count Camillo Negroni asked his mate, bartender Forsco Scarselli, to harden his favourite cocktail, The Americano, by swapping Soda for Gin!!
For those of you not accustomed to the Negroni, it is an aperitif that is meant to stimulate your appetite before a meal (we quite enjoy one or three as a nightcap). It’s simple too, composed of only 3 core ingredients – Gin, Sweet Vermouth and Amaro (Italian Bitters), and garnished with an orange slice. The big rule here, however, is all three parts must be equal.
The quality of your ingredients is essential to an exceptional Negroni; A punchy dry gin, like Death Gin, works extremely well. Here are our 3 recommended versions of a Negroni, perfectly paired with delicious Australian products.
